SARU is inviting noted Japanese percussionist Seijiro Murayama to Oxford for a rare improvised performance. Seijiro’s unique and cross-disciplinary approach to improvisation will be sharing the stage of one of the most inviting locations in downtown Oxford with noted local artist Sarah Hughes. Also performing that night, will be the cellist Bruno Guastalla, stepping away from his instrument to deliver a reading of Francis Ponge’s prose poetry, and SARU practitioner Kostis Kilymis, who will be performing a pared-down set of feedback-based electronics.
